Spring Tour 2015

Hitting the road again with our newest hired gun, WURMZILLA, a.k.a. Sean Arsenian. You may know this monster from his art , his tattooing, or his band The Great Sabatini. Fun fact: Seany is our 15th member, rounding out the 18th distinct live lineup. “Follow your dreams!” they say. We say, “devour your fucking nightmares.”

Also very, very excited to announce that we’ll be joining Winnipeg iconoclasts DEAD RANCH for the Western leg of this tour. See the poster(s) below for specific dates. These young, handsome devils write the best stoner/sludge/whatever metal out there and absolutely BRING IT live.

There are a fuckton of amazing shows lined up on this tour and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped get this shit show together. It’s the only reason we keep this shit show rolling. Miigwech, gracias, thank you.

Hope to see yas out there!

In case you missed it from our social media bullshit spamming, here’s a new track from our forthcoming album: MAN

The song is called “Man” and it will be on our new LP “Something for Everyone; Nothing for Anyone”, to be released in late August.

Thanks to the few people who actually visit here (hi Scott K!) despite our negligence of maintaining the site. Thanks again to Chunk for hosting and putting this site together in exchange for shitty merch.

We’re hitting the road again this Fall and finally venturing west of the Mississippi and Great Lakes to play for/with our buds out that way. Tour dates TBA very soon.

Hey buds!

We’re hitting the road again in April, heading out East in Canada then coming back through the Northeast US. Here’s a poster with dates:

The Canadian shows will be with our buds in Orchid’s Curse from Halifax, NS. Looking forward to playing a few new towns this time around! Tell yer friends.

Alas, our man Steve Vargas a.k.a. the Latino Heat is unable to make the tour but in his place on the drum throne will be Mark McGee, a.k.a. Samir Eid. Steve will be on tour in Europe with his main band The Great Sabatini. If you’ve never heard ’em, click that link and turn up the volume. Mark himself has been around, that little hussy, and his current band Swarm of Spheres plays some righteous rock’n’roll. Our touring guitarist Matt Fleming (real name: Merle Reid) will be back with us dragging the donkey wagon. He’s played in a bunch of bands too but that’s enough name-dropping for now.

The new full-length is being mixed as we speak and we’ll get a sneak peek of that out to ya as soon as possible, friends.

How’s that for a shitty tease?

Hey, check it out! Here’s our bandcamp page! If you dig our music, please spread the word as every little bit of support is eternally appreciated. We have stuff for sale though Dwyer Records (run by our buddies in Alaskan, whose drummer Scotty Rooney used to play with us!).

Never too early to start planning and we’ll finally be heading to Western Canada and back down through the USA in August/September. Well, that is of course if Musky doesn’t spazz out and kill the band before then. Looking forward to seeing y’all down the road! Much love,

Steve Vargas – drums

Mike Shrives – guitar

Musqwaunquot Rice – guitar and/or bass

Matt Fleming – touring guitar

Mark McGee – touring drums and/or bass

Satan – copilot

“God’s Hooks” LP
We finally have our 2010 full-length album “God’s Hooks” on vinyl. You can get them through Dwyer Records or our label Handshake, Inc.‘s online store.

Please note that neither Dwyer nor Handshake take a cut of these sales so buying from them is buying directly from us. Browse their stores and pick up merch from righteous bands while you’re at it.

“Kingmaker” shirt
Our good buddy Sean Arsenian designed the deadliest goddamn shirt for us, inspired by the song “Kingmaker” from the Nibaak EP.

Our buds at Dwyer Records have a handful of these to order online here  and of course we’ll have them and older designs with us on the road.

You can check out more of Seany’s design work here  and if ya don’t know, he also plays in The Great Sabatini. A true renaissance man, Sean is also a tattoo artist at Sin City in Montreal .

New Album
All instruments are tracked for the new record and it’s just awaiting our archangelic voices before mixing and mastering. This record is again being handled by the iconoclastic Topon Das at Apartment 2 Recording. The album will most definitely be released on a certain day of a certain month in the year 2013 (probably).

Thanks for reading the first and probably only proper update you’ll ever hear from us. Be excellent to each other,

– BPGWN (Mike, Musky, Steve, and all of our past, present, and future members and fill-ins)
